Curves Ahead

Hi from Brooklyn!

One of the great things about taking time to visit industry shows is the ability to see the big picture and future direction. I've been moving my clients toward circular shapes over the last year. It just feels interesting and modern and is a terrific counterpoint to the mass of boxy rectilinear shapes that fill most homes.

I started to notice this trend in furniture markets 2 years ago in neo-classical pieces with both French and Scandinavian influences popping up here and there. It's much more prevalent now. These photos are from this spring's High Point Furniture Market. These pieces will ship to stores this fall. Be sure to look at the surrounding pieces in the background, too, and you'll see what I'm seeing for your future.

xoxo Theresa
