Vintage Linens

Hi from Los Angeles!

I have always been in love, love, love with vintage textiles. When I was a teenager, my next door neighbor gifted me with yardage of fuchsia silk damask that she brought back from Korea. I still have it. It's just so beautiful that I haven't found anything worthy. Yet.

I have been collecting vintage tableclothes for years. These I do use. I've scored so many at flea markets in Brooklyn. I love all of their happy mid-century colors.  You can't help but have a good time sitting at a table of fun. The prices are modest and they are a quick way to transform a table and your room. And why not use these color combos for your room inspiration?

For the last year, I have been obsessed with 'pretty' vintage pieces with lacy details like my grandmothers had. Don't you think that it's time for 'pretty' to be added into the home mix? I looked for these linens in Italy last summer. I looked in Virginia this spring. I've looked all over NYC. Nothing. Why can't I find my obsession?

But in Santa Monica, I hit the jackpot. Not only did I find beautiful pillowcases and napkins, but they were well priced and then- on sale! Maybe I was just looking in the wrong place. And don't get me started on the to-die-for vintage dresses I found…

xoxo Theresa
