The Jewel of the Desert
Hi from Brooklyn!
I've just returned from Phoenix. I love to travel and soak up new places, new color combinations, and new ideas. While there, I stayed at the amazing Arizona Biltmore. Albert Chase McArthur, who studied under Frank Lloyd Wright, created a unique art deco resort in the middle of the desert back in 1929. I imagine that it was the only thing in the desert at that point.
As wonderful as the architecture and landscaping are, and they are truly wonderful, my favorite image is of the setting sun shining on the mountain behind the resort. It shimmered the most beautiful shade of red. Now I need to recreate this image in someone's home… Are you game?
