Bathroom Design, Direction and Renovation

Bathroom design and direction is important as your renovation will last for 15 years. Details from last month’s Kitchen and Bath Show was the surprise of colorful bathroom fixtures. We saw multiple manufacturers offer a rainbow of colors in concrete bathroom sinks. Either a single sink or as part of a vanity, these offer a focal burst of color which can be used as a starting point for your bathroom design concept. I especially love this color impact for smaller bathrooms and powder rooms.

Similar to the curves and swirls that I saw at the Paris Show, vanities are following suit. Light wood tones, curved edges and a nod to mid-century design- this is the direction for bathroom vanities. Whether selecting an under mount sink or a colorful cement bowl, there is bold contrast at the counter level.

For contractors and builders, there was newness in LED lighting. I particularly liked the new bathroom features of a phone charger built into the vanity top and a strip light built into a shower niche.
