It’s Sunday evening and I have everyone texting me about work (boundaries, what boundaries?). The dog is obsessed with her squeaky toy (noise, so much noise) and I’m trying to unwind by watching the news (what is happening?!). So what am I thinking of? Wine windows. The Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. Sunday morning hike to a waterfall where we met two bears 🐻 🐻 along the way. Thankfully, neither was interested in us. We are back from Rome- 8 fabulous days exploring art, architecture and history. It was crowded and got hot in the early afternoon but was still magical. (My last visit was July 2011- so hot!) The lines were long- you definitely need to purchase tickets before you leave the US for anything you plan to see- especially the Vatican, Palantine Hill and Coliseum. We were able to find some uncrowded, off the beaten path museums that were astonishing. Pictured here- the Trevi Fountain and homes in the Parioli neighborhood. Number 3/3- the Music Room- Royal Pavilion Brighton. This one was my favorite. Obviously under renovation but so, so beautiful. Note the metal snake hanging from the wall by the window and the organ pipes. Be sure to view all 3 reels as well as my original post with photos.
