Your Home- More Joy, Less Stress
I’m not a fan of resolutions but I am all in on intentions. When setting intentions, it is really helpful to take a close look at how you are live. It seems like we all need to take a pause and figure out how to simplify our lives. Less stress, less stuff, more time for what truly matters, like people, pets, music and books.
How does this fit into interior design? I’ve spent the last few weeks clearing my office and my apartment. I’m still not done but what a great feeling! I can’t operate in clutter. Newsflash- none of us operates well in clutter. Whether you think it bothers you or not, subliminally, it’s a stressor on your life.
While packing away your holiday items, take a critical look around at your living spaces. What is worn out? What do you no longer need? What is the one thing that will make your life easier or simpler on a day-to-day basis? What will make you smile every time you walk into the room? Does your kitchen no longer function the way you need it to? Are the kids getting too big to share a room? Do you need storage solutions to control the clutter?
This is a great month to plan out your home inspiration needs. How can I help?
More joy, less stress. Here’s to a wonderful 2020!
